The Federal Trade Commission is asking several major retailers and grocers to submit documents on their supply issues and price increases.

It’s part of the FTC’s probe into supply chain backups and inflation.

The Federal Reserve chair and the U.S. treasury secretary warned a Senate panel that the pandemic and economic issues need to be tackled together.

They say COVID-19, worker shortages, supply interruptions and inflation are all connected.

During the Senate hearing, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen urged Congress to raise the debt limit.

Senate Democratic leaders say they are planning on getting the president’s “Build Back Better” social spending bill passed before Christmas, despite no Republican support.
