Michigan State Police are investigating a homicide that occurred in Pine Township in Montcalm County.
According to police, a 37-year-old male from Trufant walked into the lobby of the Michigan State Police Lakeview Post Monday afternoon and alleged that they killed someone.
Troopers responded to a residence in Pine Township and found a 68-year-old male deceased on the scene. The 37-year-old male was taken into custody and lodged at the Montcalm County Jail on charges of open murder. He is pending arraignment.
Police say the incident is believed to the result of a live-together domestic situation. The case remains under investigation.
