Michigan health officials are reporting 17,003 new coronavirus cases and 280 additional deaths since Monday.
According to the MDHHS, between Tuesday and Wednesday, the average number of new cases per day is approximately 8,502.
Additionally, they say 143 of the 280 deaths reported Wednesday were identified during a review of vital records.
In total, Michigan has had 1,276,264 confirmed coronavirus cases and 23,595 total confirmed covid-related deaths.
As of Tuesday, 5,177,835 Michiganders ages five and older have been fully vaccinated against the coronavirus.
As of Monday, 5,730,633 Michiganders ages 16 and older have received at least one dose of the coronavirus vaccine.
According to , 536 adult patients were admitted to Michigan hospitals with a positive COVID-19 status.
They say 3,901 adult patients and 47 pediatric patients were hospitalized with the coronavirus as of Wednesday.
Of those 3,901 adults, 828 are occupying ICU beds with the virus, and 493 of those 828 are on ventilators.
According to the MDHHS, coronavirus numbers will not be updated on Friday due to the Thanksgiving holiday. New data will be published on Monday, Nov. 29.
