Pediatrician Talks Covid-19 Vaccination and Tips to Keeping Kids Healthy

Children 5 years and older can now get the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine. They will receive a separate vaccine formulation denoted with an orange cap of the Pfizer- COVID-19 Vaccine that has one-third the dose given to adolescents and adults, and will receive the vaccine with a smaller needle. With so many questions looming from parents, pediatrician and internist Dr. Eric Ayers answers a few of those questions and gives advice on how to keep everyone safe during the cold and flu season.

Dr. Ayers says,

Love is a weakness that a lot of people are not understanding.  Yes, we love our kids. Yes, we love our family but make sure that you don’t let your defense mechanisms down during this period of time

He recommends for parents to try to avoid wiping their children’s noses with their hands and teach them to cough into their inner elbow if a mask isn’t being worn
