Isaiah Gardenhire Sentenced With Second Degree Murder, Felonious Assault

Isaiah Gardenhire, a 41-year-old charged with assaulting a woman and killing her daughter, has been sentenced to essentially life in prison.

In June, law enforcement say Gardenhire near Mt. Pleasant. According to police, he then held two people hostage and sexually assaulted one of them during a 48-hour manhunt.

An Isabella County judge sentenced Gardenhire to 75 to 120 years behind bars for second degree murder and unlawful imprisonment, and 10 to 15 years for felonious assault.

Those sentences will run concurrently.
