President Biden is making some last-minute visit across the country as his self-imposed deadline to pass the “Build Back Better Plan” approaches.
Biden says he wants to wrap up negotiations by the end of this week.
On his trip, he stopped at a train maintenance station in New Jersey to talk about infrastructure.
He also visited an elementary school. Universal pre-K is one of the things Biden hopes to accomplish with his nearly $2 trillion agenda.
Biden also met with moderate Democratic Senator Joe Manchin over the weekend.
Manchin and Biden both say they’re optimistic about making a deal.
The president says he wants that to happen before his scheduled trip to Scotland for a climate summit.
Biden’s plan includes a climate change initiative, which he hopes to tout to world leaders.
