Sleeping Bear Dunes In Need of Winter Interns

Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is on the hunt for winter interns.

Internship opportunities were made possible after the park received a grant from the National Park Foundation.

Interns will be able to help with snowshoe field trips, weekend hikes, and virtual distance learning programs.

The internship is three months long and begins the first week of January. Students will learn about ecology, ecosystem health and local history.

“This is a great way to get into the National Park Service as a seasonal or year-round employee,” said David Fenlon, Education Technician for the Sleeping Bear Dunes. “It is a really strong way to get into the National Park Service or a similar agency.”

The internship is open to college students or those who graduated within the past two years. To apply, click here.
