Mesick Woman Killed in Pedestrian Crash in Wexford County

A Mesick woman was killed in a pedestrian crash in Wexford County Sunday evening.

Michigan State Police responded to a report of a pedestrian that had been struck by a truck while running across M-115 near Snyder Road in Springville Township around 7:20 p.m. Sunday.

The driver of the truck, a 50-year-old Haslett man, was driving northwest on M-115.

According to police, the victim 33-year-old Erica Lynn Saint John of Mesick, was reportedly running across the road. The driver stated he did not have time to react and struck Saint John.

Saint John was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation, but alcohol and drugs are not believed to be a factor in the crash.
