The City of Traverse City says Walton Contracting will be closing the 100 block of South Spruce Street between West Front Street and the alley to the South for utility work.
The area will be closed Oct. 25 through Oct. 27, and will cause disruptions and closures to traffic. It will reopen Oct. 27 at 6 p.m.
The City says the work is weather dependent, and appropriate signage will be in place. Access to all businesses will be maintained at all times.
Pedestrians and drivers are asked to use alternate routes that avoid the area to reduce congestion, delay and inconvenience for travels.
The City also says the construction will also generate noise and cause inconvenience.
