officially marks the completion of The Sasaki Associates Campus Master Plan.

is known to house some of the world’s most talented students. Transforming their passion into purpose.

Trey Devey, Interlochen’s President says, “When Interlochen started in 1928, there was a bold vision to be a leader in the arts. Time and time again, we have been ranked as one of the top ten arts vibrant communities in the entire country.”

The board and the institution had a vision in 1991 for the transformation of the campus. Originally the plan included ten facilities, and over the years that became 17. And this year the two most recent facilities were completed, the Dance Center and the Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow House.

These new additions will help enhance the programs on campus and create a more impactful experience. The Dance Center has amazing ceiling heights, and a beautiful view to Green Lake. The Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow House has eight suites to accommodate eight artists or four artists with their families.

“Artists may be coming in for a day to work with our students, or they might come in for two weeks, be an artist or you can have artists come in for a full semester, teaching our students a particular course,” says Devey.

With so many big names that have performed throughout the years, Interlochen continues to partner with the most sought after guest artists.

A series of artistic events will be happening Thursday October 21st and Friday October 22nd.

There will be a singer-songwriter performances at Corson Auditorium, the Writing House will have readings, the Music Center will have some chamber music groups performing, and visual arts will have things happening throughout the day.

Interlochen Center for the Arts is raising the already high bar of excellence to a whole new level…
