MTM On the Road: Farm Science Program Educates Youth Statewide About Agriculture Impact

The Michigan Agriculture in the Classroom has created the Farm Science Lab program.

This is an experience that is being brought to kids from kindergarten all the way through middle school across the state.

It teaches kids the basics of agriculture.

The Michigan Farm Bureau’s aim is to help kids understand where their food comes from, how to grow plants, and how to be more agri-aware of their surroundings.

On Wednesday, students on Drummond Island had the opportunity to explore the bus on one of its stops.

Other local school can also call and reserve the bus to come through their school.

They’re making their way across the state. If you want more on how your school can be a stop, click here.
