Clare County Sheriff’s Department Found Suspect After Shooting

UPDATE: Clare County Sheriff’s Department says they have found Boyer and have taken her into custody without incident.

The Clare County Sheriff’s Department is searching for a suspect following a shooting in Clare County Wednesday afternoon.

Around 4 p.m., deputies along with Clare Police and Michigan State Troopers responded to a home on South Harrison Avenue South of Surrey for a report of a shooting.

They say the shooting resulted in two victims who are now reported to be deceased. An additional two bodies were also located on the property during the night. No names are being released pending the notification of family members.

The suspect Judy Boyer, 54, had left the scene and was reportedly heading toward the Cadillac area.

Clare County Police Department is asking for patience at this time as they are a smaller agency. We will continue our coverage as more developments are made.
