President Biden has announced efforts to help ease the supply chain backlog ahead of the holiday rush.

Biden says he reached an agreement with industry leaders to have the Port of Los Angeles run 24/7.

The ships backed up near the port are carrying everything from clothes to computers.

Relief to this backlog can’t come soon enough for the small businesses relying on these products, as well as consumers who have all been staring at empty shelves for quite some time.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce says delays in deliveries are driving up prices.

The Labor Department says the price increases last month pushed inflation up 5.4% from where it was a year ago. Biden says he’s working to solve that problem as well.

Analysts are warning that these higher prices could stick around into next year.
