For the last few years Gaylord has been working to add a new trail and trailhead to the town.
Thursday evening is the official ribbon cutting event for the project.
We’re catching a preview of the event before they release it to the community.
They hope this brings more bikers/hikers into town to explore the different trails in the area.
There are even spots large enough to load in and park snowmobiles.
Local businesses are also hoping to rent out bikes and different equipment for people in town to use to check the trails out.
They also hope that people will make the trail a point to visit to also hit downtown.
If you stop down the trail you can learn all about it from different businesses in town like White Birch Outfitters and Snowbelt Brewing.
