Recess got a lot more exciting for kids at Glen Lake Community Schools.
Thursday morning, they hosted a ribbon cutting for their new playground.
The project cost more than $3 million and opened to the kids on the third week of school.
Complete with a zipline, covered bridge and many more fun features, it’ll also be incorporated into classroom lessons.
“In addition to being a playground, a park, it’s also an environment in which the teachers are bringing kids out for learning for math, for science, for art,” said Steve Bluhm, GLCS Facilities and Transportation Director. “It’s a big park playground so there’s plenty of room for everyone.”
Glen Lake Schools also encourage the public to come enjoy the park outside of school hours.
