“Unchained II” Fashion Show in The Soo, October 23

According to UCLA Health, around 15-percent of couples will have trouble conceiving. A Chippewa County woman is hoping a dream she had will inspire others to begin their own family.Unchained

“Actually I had a dream in the middle of the night, it was very dark and mysterious and a little scary and edgy,” explained Bishop. “It was about a fashion show. And then I called my Mom the next morning, and said, what do you think? She said go for it.”

Shelly Bishop and her husband had fertility issues several years ago. Now, they have 3 beautiful boys. Bishop started up the ‘Unchained’ fashion show in 2019 to raise money for a family that is having infertility problems. This year, it’s back to help others realize their own dream.

“I want all proceeds to go towards a family that needs the money that needs the money to have a baby because that is important to me and it’s close to my heart,” Bishop added. “It’s a fashion show but in a play format so it’s a story about confinement to complete freedom so whether it be confinement of wearing a mask or infertility or abusive relationship, whatever your story might be.”

‘Unchained II’ will be held at 6:30 PM on October 23 at the Sault Country Club. Tickets are on sale at A Cut Above Salon.
