In July, Northern Michigan lost a living legend. Ed Palmer, who lived on Beaver Island, touched thousands of people with his music – including musicians who tour the world. One of those musicians is Jackson Frederick Smith, who is the son of the famous folk singer, Patti Smith.
Just three days ago, they were on tour in London at the world-famous Royal Albery Hall. Jackson paid the ultimate tribute to a man who should have played there LIVE. But, that doesn’t matter anymore, because Jackson played one of Ed’s originals, ‘Hail to the Beavers’ before the soundcheck.
