Kampout for KAIR Kicks Off in Kalkaska
It’s time for giving in Kalkaska this week.
The annual Kampout for KAIR Food Drive started Monday and ends Oct. 9th.
KAIR is asking for help to fill the kitchens and cupboards of those in need.
Non-perishable food items and personal hygiene items will be accepted.
Drop-off locations include Family Fare, Northland Foods and Bill Marsh in Kalkaska. You can also bring items directly to KAIR.
“Going into the cold winter months, we always see an increasing need in our community,” said Cathy Somes, KAIR Executive Director. “Right now we’re serving between 1,400 and 1,600 individuals each month between our two programs so the food that comes in will help support not only our food pantry but our community meal site as well.”
