Friday, Oct. 1, is the start of archery deer hunting season, and the DNR has some new regulations they want you to know about.
The season lasts from Oct. 1 through Nov. 14.
Hunters can now report harvests on the DNR’s , and purchase their new —which can be used anywhere where antlerless deer hunting is allowed.
Some deer check locations and hours have changed, as well, and can be checked .
The DNR encourages hunters to look at the for more information on the changes.
“It’s a super exciting time for our deer hunters, especially with it being the most beautiful season of the year,” said Wildlife Outreach Coordinator Rachel Leightner. “We’re hoping hunters have a great time.”
