A major development Tuesday in the search for Brynn Bills in Alpena County.
Michigan State Police have been searching a home in Alpena since Tuesday morning.
Details on the care are still limited, but troopers have been coming and going since about noon, all working to find Brynn Bills.
The State Police Crime Lab from Grayling is still on the scene and a team has been digging in the backyard.9&10 News has learned that the homeowner at this property was arrested on charges of assault and unlawful imprisonment.
State Police say the arrest is connected to an unrelated investigation.
Michigan State Police will be holding a news conference Wednesday to discuss Tuesday’s developments in the search for 18 year old Brynn Bills.

Michigan State Police are executing a search warrant at a house on Naylor Road in Alpena in connection with the search for missing 18-year-old Brynn Bills.
A crime scene lab is on scene and they have digging equipment in the backyard going through the area.
Lieutenant Derrick Carroll with the MSP says this crew will likely be out at the house all day, as they want to take their time and completely search the area.
Bills has been missing since early August.
