MTM On the Road: Grand Rapids ArtPrize Celebrates National Artists

ArtPrize is an art competition that attracts artists from all over the world.

It’s home is right in Grand Rapids.

They’ve held this event every year since 2009 and the program awards $450,000 to artists through grants and prizes.

Artists submit works and they are on display for 18 days.

People from the community are allowed to view and purchase the works from the competition.

Art work fills multiple venues across the town.

This year they will feature 22 artists at the Grand Rapids Public Museum.
