Tickets are on sale for a night to remember filled with food, fun, and cocktails for a good cause. Join for A Hemingway-Inspired Evening in Paris, Havana, and Northern Michigan at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 25 at the Besser Museum. The entertaining evening of storytelling featuring renowned author Philip Greene, local filmmaker Cat Muncey and the mixologists from will benefit Hospice of Michigan’s Open Access Program.
During the evening, Greene will take participants on a historical journey through the life of Ernest Hemingway centered around the cocktails that he was so fond of, and which often wove their way into his literary works. Additionally, Muncey will give participants a glimpse of her new documentary detailing her mother’s end-of-life journey supported by Hospice of Michigan.
“It warms my heart to give people an opportunity to enjoy night of entertainment and cocktails for a wonderful cause,” said Melissa McDonald, philanthropy manager for Hospice of Michigan. “The proceeds will help make an amazing impact for those in need of end-of-life care in our community.”
The event is exclusive to those 21 and older, and attendees should dress in cocktail attire. All proceeds from the event benefit Hospice of Michigan’s Open Access Program which ensures all who need end-of life care in Northeast Michigan and beyond have access to it, regardless of their age, diagnosis, or ability to pay.
