Northwestern Michigan College Students To Receive Fourth Round of Federal COVID Funds

Students at Northwestern Michigan College are getting their fourth round of funds from the federal covid-19 relief program.

The college is disbursing money from the American Rescue Plan to students, now totaling $5.2 million since April 2020.

Last year, NMC students received an average of $1,500 each.

Average awards from September were more than $1,000 to each of the school’s 3,600 students.

Awards are based on enrollment status and financial need.

The funds will be going out this week.
