Michigan health officials are reporting 6,604 new cases of the coronavirus and 44 deaths since Monday.
The MDHHS says over Tuesday and Wednesday, the average number of new cases is now 3,302 cases per day.
Additionally, they say 41 of the 44 deaths reported Wednesday were identified during a vital records review.
In total, Michigan has had 983,109 total confirmed covid cases and 20,597 total confirmed covid-related deaths.
As of Sept. 10, 896,206 Michiganders are reported to have recovered from the virus.
And as of Wednesday, 4,871,867 Michiganders ages twelve and older have been fully vaccinated.
