Mackinac Island Airport Closed Thursday for Runway Repairs

The Mackinac Island Airport will be closed Thursday to allow crews to repair slight cracks to the runway.

Large x’s will be placed on the runway alerting pilots runways are closed. A notice to airmen has been filed with the FAA.

All aircraft parked at the airport will have to be moved to a grass lot, and larger aircraft can speak with Mackinac Island Airport personnel for parking options.

In the event of inclement weather the project will be postponed and a new date will be announced at a later time.
