A Grayling man is facing multiple charges after he was arrested in August by Michigan State troopers for possession of cocaine.

Scott Coleman Wells, 57, was arraigned Tuesday in the 46th District Court in Crawford County for one count possession cocaine, one count driving while license suspended or revoked, and one count operating without security. His bond was set at $10,000.

On Thursday, Aug. 12, at approximately 6:49 p.m. a trooper from the Michigan State Police Houghton Lake Post stopped a vehicle driven by Wells for having no registration plate on M-72 near Wimpys Road in Grayling Township. Troopers say Wells was operating with a revoked license and did not have insurance on the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle the trooper recovered five small baggies of suspected cocaine. Wells was arrested and lodged in the Crawford County Jail.

His next scheduled court appearance is set for Oct. 19.
