Northern Michigan Events Cancelled Due To COVID Concerns

Events Cancelled

UPDATE (09-16-21):

Old Town Playhouse has announced that their performance of “Escanaba in da Moonlight” on Sept. 23 has been re-added to their schedule.

This will be followed by previously scheduled performances on Sept. 24 and 25.

Multiple events around Northern Michigan are being cancelled due to covid concerns.

A popular event in Mackinaw City in October, Fort Fright, was cancelled in 2021.

Organizers say it’s because of a rise in the area’s break through infections in people who are vaccinated.

Old Town Playhouse in Traverse City also cancelled five performances of their production of “Escanaba in da Moonlight” following their COVID-19 protocol.

They say there will not be performances on Sept. 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th and 23rd.
