Alpena Man Charged With Criminal Sexual Conduct
Michigan State Police say an Alpena man has been charged with multiple counts of criminal sexual conduct.
Troopers say on Sunday, July 25, a woman and her daughter went to the MSP Alpena Post to report that the daughter had been sexually assaulted by 23-year-old Tyler Siegert of Alpena.
They say the victim knew Siegert, and the sexual assault took place in the early morning hours of July 19.
Troopers say the investigation led to an arrest warrant being authorized for Siegert by the Alpena County Prosecutor’s office on August 25. From there, troopers say Siegert was notified of the arrest warrant and turned himself in at the MSP Alpena Post on August 30.
According to Michigan State Police, Siegert waived his arraignment in the 88th District Court Tuesday. He has been charged with two counts of first degree criminal sexual conduct, and two counts third degree criminal sexual conduct (a victim aged 13 through 15).
Siegert is expected back in court at the end of September.
