Severe Storms Cause Significant Damage Across Northern Michigan

Severe storms caused significant damage across Central and Northern Michigan Tuesday afternoon.

High winds in places such as Reed City blew over trees and power lines.

Emergency management is asking residents in Osceola County to limit their travel for their own safety so crews have time to clean up debris.

“I’m thankful that everybody was okay, we had a lot of customers and associates in the store, everybody was a little worried but everybody is just fine,” said Andrew Jagielski, Assistant Manager of Wesco on Exit 153 in Reed City.

Schools such as Farwell, Evart and Reed City kept students and staff in the building after school for their safety.
