Dermatologist Gives Skin Care Tips on Cleansing to Achieve Healthy Skin

How often should we wash our faces? Is “squeaky clean” a good thing? Foam, cream or gel cleansers? Are we using the correct formula and ingredients for our skin type? Cleansing is the foundation of a skincare routine, but it can be difficult to know if you’re making the best decisions for your skin like a dermatologist would.

A recent survey took a look at how the skin care habits and routines of consumers compare with dermatologists’ recommendations, and the results are in: there are some cleansing misconceptions that need to be addressed. As it turns out, many might be surprised at what they’re doing wrong, but with simple swaps, they will learn what they can do now to develop a healthy cleansing routine.
