Heroes Cup Golf Tournament to Benefit Veterans In Crisis

Time to tee-up some fun to help an organization that provides much needed assistance to veterans in northern Michigan.

The Heroes Cup is happening later this month, so we’re giving you plenty of time to prepare.

The golf tournament has been going on for decades at the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa. This year’s main recipient is Veterans In Crisis.

The non-profit was formed in 2016 by a group of veteran’s advocates to help vets with unforeseen needs, such groceries, auto repair or legal services, just to name a few.

The funds raised from sponsorships at the Heroes Cup will go a long way to help with those needs.

“Veterans are the last people to ask for help.  So, were really grateful to be an organization that this there and to be working with Grand Traverse Resort and Casinos to provide the resources to those folks who are the last to ask for help,” said Matt Morgan, Executive Director for Veterans In Crisis.

The Heroes Cup Golf Tournament is on Saturday, Aug. 28 at the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa. Registration is at 8 a.m.
