MEDC and the State Announce Grant for Grand Traverse County Business

A Grand Traverse County manufacturer is getting a boost from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, to add dozens of new jobs.

Grand Traverse Plastics near Williamsburg is expanding – and they’re getting a $430,000 Michigan Business Development Program performance-Grand Traverse Plasticsbased grant to do it. The project requires a capital investment of $11.5 million, and GT Plastics could create up to 43 jobs with the expansion.

The company is a Tier 1 auto supplier, and the state says their growth includes new business related to electric vehicles.

GTP did not respond to our request for comment.
