Ferris State University Updates Mask Policy For Big Rapids Campus

Ferris State University is requiring masks be worn inside building on the Big Rapids campus.

The new mandate applies to all faculty, staff, students and visitors, regardless of vaccination status.

The university’s mask decision comes as Mecosta County moved from a “moderate” to “substantial” level of COVID-19 community spread.

To maximize protection from COVID-19 and the Delta variant, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends everyone, regardless of vaccination status, wear a mask indoors in public in an area of “substantial” or “high” transmission.
