MTM On The Road: Cellar 1914 Turns Family History into Community Farm, Winery

Cellar 1914 is a farm in Central Lake that has been in the Shook family for more than a century.

The farm has gone through the hands of four different generation.

Each generation adding on to the land.

Now, they are focusing on harvesting cherries and grapes.

They’ve turned bits of history from the farm into a tasting room for the Central Lake community to come and enjoy their wines and ciders.

They also have corn mazes, kick ball, and different activities for the whole family to get involved in.

When you’re there, be sure to take a picture in front of their most prized possession— the pink painted 1955 Oliver Super 88 Diesel tractor.

For more information on the history of the family’s farm you can visit the Cellar 1914 website, here.
