The Reed City Fire Department was damaged by flames after a truck caught on fire inside.

Units were on a call in the city, but were able to return to the department after being notified.

They say they arrived to find a brush truck in their auxiliary bay engulfed in flames.

Firefighters were able to put out the fire and contain the damage to that part of the building.

They say the auxiliary bay suffered severe structural damage, and the truck was a complete loss.

There was only minor smoke damage to the rest of the building.

RCFD thanked the Reed City Department of Public Works for helping them secure the building and clear debris.
