COVID-19 Cases Rise In Most Countries, U.K. Unlikely Exception

Around the world, several countries are struggling with a surge in COVID-19 cases.

Tokyo hit a new record for daily cases on Thursday.

A Japanese official says they’ve never experienced a rise in cases like they did this week.

In Australia, Sydney extended the city’s lockdown after a spike in cases.

But in the United Kingdom, case numbers are actually falling.

Scientists say it could be due to fewer large sporting events, or the country may be approaching herd immunity.

However, they also say lower numbers could be the result of less people getting tested.
