Both Parties Hope Infrastructure Deal Aids Economic Expansion

A vote is expected in the Senate on Friday to proceed on the bipartisan infrastructure bill, with the hopes of further economic expansion.

During the second quarter, the U.S. economy grew 6.5%.

This marks a full recovery of the economic losses suffered during the pandemic.

Both Republicans and Democrats agree an investment in America’s infrastructure right now will help continue to grow the economy.

In addition to the bipartisan infrastructure bill, Democrats are pushing ahead with their $3.5 trillion budget resolution plan.

Majority Leader Chuck Schumer says he wants both bill passed before the Senate takes its five week recess beginning Aug. 9.
