On Friday the Reed City Police Department said they are still investigating a situation where 20 animals were found living in unsanitary conditions.
The Police Department served a court order on July 29 to pick up an individual for a mental health evaluation and when they arrived at the residence they discovered the animals.
The department requested assistance from Osceola County Animal Control to help retrieve the animals.
