Federal & State Governments Set Vaccination Requirements For Employees
As cases of the COVID-19 Delta variant continue to surge across the country, the Biden administration is working to slow down the spread of the virus.
The White House is expected to announce a requirement that all federal employees show proof they’ve been vaccinated or submit to regular testing.
At the same time, states are already making their own decisions on vaccines and mask mandates.
In New York, new infections have risen more than 400% in the last month. Governor Andrew Cuomo is now requiring all state employees to get vaccinated by Labor Day or undergo weekly testing.
The CDC believes if vaccination rates increase, the U.S. could halt the spread of the virus in just a couple of weeks.
The agency warns if the right steps are not taken now, the colder months could be worse.
