Marion Man Arrested For Stealing Relative’s Vehicle

A Marion man was arraigned in the 84th District Court in Wexford County on Monday for allegedly stealing a relative’s vehicle.

Raymond Danniel Finnigan, 30, was arraigned on one count unlawful driving of a motor vehicle.

 

In June, a trooper from the from the Michigan State Police Cadillac Post was dispatched to a residence on M-55 Highway in Cherry Grove Township for a report of a stolen vehicle.

The victim, a 77-year-old man from Marion told troopers that a family member took his 2010 GMC Acadia without permission in April 2021 and had not returned it. The man said he had no contact with the relative since the vehicle was stolen.

Later in June, a trooper from the Michigan State Police Mt. Pleasant Post was called to a suspicious vehicle on 21 Mile Road in Marion. The vehicle was checked in the Law Enforcement Information Network and it came back as stolen.

Finnigan was arrested and lodged in Osceola County Jail.

He was given a PR Bond and is scheduled to appear in court on August 3 at 2 p.m.
