Hook & Hunting: 2020 DNR Deer Patches Available
The Michigan DNR is finally releasing their 2020 Deer Patches to hunters who harvested a deer last year.
Hunters can normally bring in their deer for the DNR to get biological data from it.
Getting one of the coveted patches was put on hold last year as the number of deer checking stations was restricted due to the pandemic.
Hunters can bring in a picture of their deer, or a kill tag, to any of their customer service buildings to get a patch.
“If you’re hoping to get a patch this year, we suggest you don’t wait and that you make plans to go pick up a patch before supplies run out,” said DNR Wildlife Outreach Coordinator Rachel Leightner.
The customer service buildings are open Tuesday through Thursday from 8-5 until they return to normal hours after Labor Day.
