Low Impact PFAS Site Identified In Elk Rapids
On July 16, the Key II Industrial Building at 603 Bridge St. in Elk Rapids was listed as a PFAS site.
Local officials learned that the site is considered a “Tier 3” site, which means it would likely not impact people.
The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services says that because the majority of Elk Rapids is served by a municipal water system and groundwater flows to the east, away from any shallow drinking water wells, there is not possibility of drinking contaminated water.
