17 Year-Old Singer/Songwriter Haiven Sellers Performs LIVE on ‘the four’
Haiven Sellers is a 17 year old singer/songwriter and recent graduate of Interlochen Arts Academy.
She discovered her passion for music at the age of nine when she began learning violin. After moving to Long Island, she joined the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra of New York as both a violinist and violist, and performed with the group for four years at venues such as Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall.
She graduated from Interlochen Arts Academy with High Honors with Distinction in May 2021. Haiven released her debut album, “Vivid”, on July 16th. She composed all of the music and lyrics, drawing on influences ranging from Indie/folk to classic rock, often embellished with her own lush string arrangements.
This summer, she will be touring Michigan with fellow Interlochen alum Breezy Love. Haiven will attend the Liverpool Institute for the Performing Arts as a songwriting major this fall.
Havien is also active in her community.
She will be playing at Veteran’s Memorial Park in Traverse City Saturday, July 24, 2021 to raise money for the Military Order of the Purple Heart. It starts at 7:00 PM and will be outdoors, so be sure to bring chairs! MOPH does so much for local veterans and veteran families, including giving her a scholarship to go to Interlochen, and I wanted to give back to them so they can continue to help others.
She is also be doing a fundraiser for Benzie Area Christian Neighbors (BACN) on August 12, 2021 at 7:00 PM in the Elberta Bandshell to raise funds for their “Summer Match” project. All proceeds collected at the concert will be doubled and will go towards their operations and programs.
Havien will be performing all across the state this summer. To see her show dates, click here.
