Michigan Health Officials Report 1,028 New Coronavirus Cases, 14 Deaths
Michigan health officials are reporting 1,028 new coronavirus cases and 14 additional deaths since Friday.
In total, Michigan has had 898,626 confirmed coronavirus cases and 19,862 total confirmed COVID-related deaths.
Tuesday’s daily case count represents new referrals of confirmed cases to the MDHHS since the last web update report. Over the four days (Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday), the average number of new confirmed cases is 257 per day.
The deaths announced Tuesday includes 14 deaths identified during a vital records review.
As of July 16, 871,402 Michiganders have recovered from the coronavirus.
Moreover, as of Friday, 5,075,104 Michiganders ages 16 and older have received at least one dose of the coronavirus vaccine.
In total, Michigan has administered 9,168,176 vaccines to Michiganders ages 12 and older.
