Canada to Welcome Fully Vaccinated U.S. Citizens on Aug. 9

Canada announced Monday that it will allow fully vaccinated U.S. citizens into Canada beginning on Monday, Aug. 9.

Fully vaccinated travelers from the rest of the world will be permitted into Canada on Tuesday, Sept. 7.

Canadian officials said the current 14-day quarantine requirement will be waived on Aug. for eligible U.S. travelers who have received a full course of the COVID-19 vaccine approved for use in Canada.

Public Safety Minister Bill Blair said a date has not yet been determined for when fully vaccinated Canadians can cross the land border. Currently, any Canadian can fly to the U.S.
