The Friendship Community Center in Suttons Bay held a rummage sale all weekend.

The proceeds are going towards repairs on their over 100 year old building they are currently housed in.

Community members brought by items to donate starting on Friday.

Since then, they have pulled in over $4000.

Organizer say these dollars will not only help them with construction, but help also bring more community resources and programs to the area.

Bekah TenBrink, Executive Director for the Friendship Community Center says, “Yesterday at 8 a.m as soon as we opened we had people waiting and we had no more than like 20 or 30 people shopping at all times until we closed at four.”

The Friendship Community Center says they are planning another fundraiser.

They expect that will be closer to fall.
