During this week, motor carrier officers of MSP’s Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division are partnering with the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance to focus on unsafe driving practices of commercial vehicles.

Michigan State Police say that commercial vehicles will be seeing an increased number of officers on the road who will be looking for a variety of dangerous driving behavior.

“To focus on speed and other violations as following to closely, improper lane use, texting while driving, any other thing that could be hazardous on the roadway,” said Lt. Derrick Carroll, Public Information Officer for Michigan State Police.
