This year marks the third year of Vet Fest and it’s available to all veterans and their families throughout the state.

Vet Fest will take place on Saturday, August 7 from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the Fowlerville Fair Grounds, located at 8800 W Grand River Rd.

The purpose of Vet Fest is to bring veterans together to enjoy camaraderie and to connect them to their military benefits.

VETLIFE covers all costs of Vet Fest and is free for veterans and their families to enjoy food, bounce houses, live music, giveaways and more.

All veterans in attendance are eligible to win a wide variety of prizes valued from $300 to $1,500.

Registration is required for entry and veterans will be asked to show a military ID at check-in to verify service. ID’s that will be accepted are, Department of Defense ID, VA Health ID, or veteran designation on a state issued driver’s license.

“Michigan is home to almost 600,000 veterans, but in 2019 less than 12% of Michigan veterans were connected to a federal benefit,” said VETLIFE president Joshua Parish. “VETLIFE is doing something no other organizations have successfully been able to do and that is connect veterans to their benefits at a very large scale.”
