GTCHD Offering COVID-19 Vaccines at National Cherry Festival

The Grand Traverse County Health Department announced Friday that it will be offering the Johnson & Johnson and Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines at the upcoming National Cherry Festival in Traverse City.

Anyone age 18 and older are eligible to receive the J&J vaccine and anyone 12 and older can receive the Pfizer vaccine with a guardian present.

The clinic will be located at the festival’s food court at the Open Space near the health department’s baby comfort station and the EMS booth.

As of July 1, 2021, 68% of all Grand Traverse County residents ages 12 years or older have completed COVID-19 vaccination (two doses of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or one dose of the J&J vaccine). And 64.5% have received at least one dose of any of the COVID-19 vaccines.
