Gov. Whitmer Announces “MI Shot To Win” $5 Million Sweepstakes

Governor Gretchen Whitmer announced on Thursday a $5 million sweepstakes as an incentive for Michigan residents to get vaccinated against Covid-19.

The “MI Shot To Win” sweepstakes is a lottery-style raffle to give residents a chance to win $5 million in cash and a combined total of $500,000 in college scholarships

Residents who are ages 18 and older and who have gotten at least one shot are eligible for the drawings.

The incentive programs features a $2 million jackpot, a $1 million prize, and 30 daily drawings of $50,000.

Vaccinated residents ages 12 to 17 are eligible for one of nine four-year prepaid tuition contracts valued at $55,000.

The sweepstakes begins July 1 and runs until Aug 3, 2021.

The giveaway is powered by Meijer, the Michigan Association of United Ways and the State of Michigan.
